Documenting student work

I think that it is important to document student work, especially when it comes to creative endeavours such as art. The smiles on the students' faces in this photo and the pride evident in their eyes is reason enough to keep a digital camera in your classroom. After photographing groups of students, I printed these photos on the school's colour printer, laminated them, and displayed them on the chalkboard. The students loved it and a number of them requested copies that they could keep.

Great idea with the pictures, kids love looking at themselves... especially if they're showing off something that they're proud of.

I think you should be proud of carving pumpkins with your class, you're a brave guy! And, Carly is glad it went well for Rob, haha.

I agree about documenting with photos... when I did that edible colour wheel lesson I took photos of each groups wheel and laminated them for each of them to keep. That way they had something to keep (since we ate the art project!) Good job Rob!
